Director of Operations

This position provides leadership and direction for the operations of The Republic of Tea located in Holliston, MA.   Direct responsibility for total business unit results to grow the business (revenue) and control costs within budget. This encompasses Procurement and Regulatory.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

          Lead transition to new ownership.

          Determine Capital and budgetary needs to rapidly grow the business.

          Oversee personnel relations and maintain a safe working environment that fosters Collaboration, team work and change.

          Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Best Practices for Food Safety.

          Optimize Procurement of tea and tea related products to support the objectives for the Product Line and optimize profits.

          Collaborate with Direct to Consumer team to promote paper and digital selling tools.

 Qualifications and Skills Required:

          7- 10 years of Manufacturing/Operations experience. Lean manufacturing application skills desired.

          Operations experience with knowledge of food industry requirements and regulations.

          Minimum of a 4 year Bachelor's degree

          Strong leadership, development and communication skills required.

          Collaborative, kind and results oriented.

          Comfortable challenging the status quo and leading change

          Strong critical thinking skills and business acumen.
