Customer Service Representative

Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for assisting customers with orders, managing database records, data entry, resolving customer concerns with impeccable service, and managing through challenging situations with the utmost professionalism. Must work closely with the Customer Service Manager and foster TEAmwork within the department. The qualified candidate must possess a highly positive attitude and demeanor, strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and superior communication skills. A basic knowledge of tea is preferred.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Answer the phone and assist customers in a highly professional manner order entry/assisting a customer with choosing teas/answering tea questions.
• Order Entry entering orders that come in via phone, fax and mail.
• Assist customers with returns and/or concerns and questions about an order.
• Respond to e-mail queries.
• Expected to follow proper instructions.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent, College preferred
• 2+ Years Customer Service/Sales experience or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a TEAm setting
• Excellent attendance
• Skills reading, writing, math, good spelling and grammar
• Able to recognize and prioritize urgent matters
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to work under pressure
• Must perform work in a timely manner and meet deadlines
• Must be skilled at working on a computer and have the ability to learn and work on Upton Tea Imports ERP systems
• Basic Excel skills
• A passion for tea
